【Chinese vaccine, awesome!】At the 2021 Asia-Pacific Forum on Youth Leadership, Innovation and Entrepreneurship ,Ms Wang Qian shared the story of researchers of "COVID-19 vaccine": In July 2020, a special action team  "The Great Wall" of Sinopharm Group went to the UAE for a joint research of the new COVID-19 vaccine. The team worked side by side day and night, and were supported by the UAE. At the end of 2020, the Inactivated Vaccine from Sinopharm CNBG was recognized, making Sinopharm Group the first to finish clinical trial in the world which made positive contributions to the epidemic control and prevention.
Shomy Chowdhury
【Awareness 360: Health defense war starting from "personal hygiene”】Shomy Chowdhury from Bangladesh was praised by President Obama for her long-term volunteering service since high school. From that time, she has been considering how to contribute the same force for her motherland. In 2014, after her mother died of dysentery, she launched a "hand washing campaign" in Bangladesh, hoping to call on people to pay attention to personal hygiene by sharing stories to public. Later, she established "Awareness 360" Volunteer Service Organization in order to mobolise more young volunteers to contribute to spread health knowledge and helping people get rid of poverty.
Chang Zheng
Ever since the launch of China Carbon Emission Trade Exchange in Shanghai, Chang Zheng, director of Strategy and R&D Center of Shanghai Environment and Energy Exchange, has faced various questions from different fields. "Carbon trading is relevant to all of us." Chang zheng said at 2021 Asia-Pacific Forum on Youth Leadership, Innovation and Entrepreneurship. She hoped that through their efforts, everyone could realize the significance of emission reduction, and that all the young people in the Asia-Pacific region could make a great contribution to the world's emission reduction by starting from a small matter together! "Let's walk into the future of low-carbon life and build a cleaner and more beautiful home."
Zhu Jiannan
[Two young people hit it off, unmanned cleaning boat arrives]
Zhu Jiannan found that scenic areas were still using traditional fishing operations for river cleaning during a trip, giving him a new idea about the urgent need for more efficient water cleaning and sanitation. "Apply what you have learned to practical problems." At 2021 Asia-Pacific Forumon Youth Leadership, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, Zhu Jiannan, CEO of Orca Uboat, shared his original intention of starting his own business. In his opinion, the intelligent upgrade of water surface cleaning industry is imperative, "give me a boat, and I’ll return a world with clean water. We believe: unmanned technology can let the water cleaner and better".
Haziq Ibrahim
To help improve the living condition of fishermen on the Malaysian island of Borneo who are facing multiple difficulties due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Haziq Ibrahim created the DemiLaut, which has helped hundreds of fishermen sustain their livelihoods and bring them a new source of income. He shared at 2021 Asia-Pacific Forum on Youth Leadership, Innovation and Entrepreneurship that "we are leveraging digital technologies to ensure that marine fisheries are circular and inclusive, while enriching the businesses of local traditional fisheries."
Abdul Latei
To address waste and environmental issues, Abdul Latei has created an O2O digital platform that connects recyclers and community residents to make recycling smarter. At 2021 Asia-Pacific Forum on Youth Leadership, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, he shared his hope to build a waste management plant in the future to create jobs for more people in Indonesia.
