【Description】

The Thematic Forum for Youth Development-Oriented Cities was held on October 31, On the theme of "Coordinated Development of Youth and the City". The CPC and the Chinese government highly value creating a friendly environment for youth development. Since the launch of the "Medium- and Long-Term Youth Development Plan (2016-2025)" in 2017, more than 200 cities nationwide have been actively building youth development cities. Building sustainable cities and communities is also one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. The theme of the World Cities Day organized by UN-Habitat this year, “Financing Sustainable Urban Development for All”, is in line with China’s idea of “Coordinated Development of Youth and the City”. This forum hope to discuss effective ways to promote youth development and social development in cities with young people from all over the world and achieve the goal of "making cities more friendly to youth, and the youth more promising in the city."
