UNITAR Launches Prosperity Alliance Singapore to Advance Regional Innovation and Sustainable Development

The United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), in collaboration with the Singapore-based non-profit entity Prosperity Center Ltd., launched Prosperity Alliance Singapore on May 27, 2025. This new regional hub is dedicated to advancing clean energy, frontier technologies, youth and women’s leadership and sustainable community development across ASEAN countries.

Prosperity Alliance Singapore will work closely with the government of Singapore, leading universities and the League of Tropical Universities to create a high-impact platform for capacity-building, policy dialogue and social innovation.

It will focus on the following thematic areas: Clean and renewable energy, frontier technology and digital inclusion, leadership and innovation among youth, and women and sustainable community and economic development.

Prosperity Alliance is a global initiative launched by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) to accelerate inclusive and sustainable prosperity through localized partnerships and capacity development. Since its inception, Prosperity Alliance has established centres in Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai and Shenzhen in China and Wolverhampton in the UK, each serving as a catalyst for innovation, youth empowerment and multi-stakeholder collaboration. By fostering global-local synergy, Prosperity Alliance aims to nurture resilient communities and promote long-term economic and social well-being in diverse regions around the world.
