Young people are directly affected by education policies and will experience the long-term impact of decisions taken today. The youth consultation is a basis for the Youth Agenda on Education Beyond 2030. It ensures that young people’s perspectives and ideas are meaningfully integrated into the process of defining future priorities. By collecting input from young people worldwide, the consultation helps to show the direction that leaders and societies will take to shape education beyond 2030.
Through a global survey and consultation meetings, young people and youth organizations worldwide are called to share their views on three core themes: young people’s vision and aspirations for the world, the changes they would like to see in education and learning, and the actions they are willing to take to help bring about these changes. The survey will be open until 20 September 2026.
The survey and consultations submissions will be analyzed by young people from the SDG 4 Youth & Student Network and be used to draft a Post-2030 Youth Education and Learning Agenda which will be presented at the 2027 Global Education Meeting.
The document will be used as the foundation for the following consultation phase, which will involve governments, civil society, teachers and many other education actors.
