The project aims to combat plastic pollution in Freetown through community clean-ups, recycling workshops, and corporate engagement for sustainable packaging, with a target of 800,000 tons of plastic waste recycled by 2040.
To date, the project has organized over 100 clean-up activities, recycled over 10,000 tons of plastic, reached over 2.5 million people, trained over 500,000 youth and 1 million women, and established a strategic partnership with Sierra Leone’s Ministry of Youth Affairs.
