Huang Peixiao, a young Chinese innovator born after 2000, is an entrepreneur focusing on smart agriculture. After long-term observation of on-farm production practices, he identified many bottlenecks in conventional farming: labour-intensive manual work with low operational efficiency; prohibitive upfront costs of agricultural drones that put them out of reach for ordinary smallholder farmers; rising agro-input prices squeezing farming profits; and the recurring challenge of poor market access for high-quality farm produce.

Driven by the mission to empower rural communities through technology, Huang Peixiao leads his youth team to found Luobida Aviation, which delivers an end-to-end smart agricultural solution centred on drone technology. Taking agricultural drones as its core tool, the platform builds a full-spectrum smart agriculture ecosystem spanning production, finance and distribution to support the digital transformation of traditional farming. The team independently develops and manufactures precision agricultural drones with multi-functional capabilities. A single unit can perform a wide range of field tasks including crop protection spraying, material transport and crop growth monitoring.
To ease farmers' financial burdens, the team has pioneered a "product plus service" model. Farmers may either purchase the equipment outright or opt for rental packages. The initiative also includes complimentary loan facilitation, lowering the barrier to adopting new technology. Beyond addressing how to farm, the team has unlocked supply-chain bottlenecks: it connects farmers to distribution resources free of charge and builds stable marketing channels for agricultural goods, offering comprehensive support from production through to sales.

Under Huang's leadership, the project has yielded tangible on-the-ground results. The team has manufactured more than 300 agricultural drones, served over 800 farming households, and delivered services covering more than 20,000 mu of farmland. After the introduction of this technology, farm labour costs have fallen by 70%, generating annual cost savings and added benefits of 200-300 yuan per mu. This innovation has accelerated the shift from labour-intensive to technology-intensive agriculture in local communities. It has delivered steady income growth for over 800 farming households and created more than 60 new local jobs, helping retain young talent in rural areas.
Drawing on interdisciplinary expertise and an innovative business model, Huang Peixiao and his team bring low-altitude technology out of laboratories and into farm fields. By tackling long-standing agricultural pain points with youth-led innovation, they inject digital and sustainable momentum into rural revitalisation.
